Dumbo Arts Festival is delighted to host Tom Verlaine with Billy Ficca & Patrick Derivaz.

Tom Verlaine is a legendary singer, songwriter and guitarist, best-known as the front-man for the New York rock band Television. The band is widely regarded as one of the founders of punk and New Wave. They were in the early 70s NY underground rock scene with bands like the Patti Smith Group, the Ramones and Talking Heads. Verlaine has also been Patti Smith’s guitarist and recently played with ETHEL, Patrick Derivaz and others at Lincoln Center Out of Doors’ opening night for its 40th anniversary. His music compositions range from the punk of his past to complex and technically proficient moody music.
Billy Ficca is a Punk Rock drummer and was also a member of Television.

Patrick Derivaz works with musicians from classical, jazz , world, hip hop, rock and other music traditions. He has produced, engineered and played on albums with composers and musicians including John Cale, Will.I.Am, Philip Glass, Jeff Buckley, and Tom Verlaine. Born in France, Patrick studied music at the Conservatoire d’Aix-en-Provence and taught at FIT. He composes, performs, records, mixes and produces a wide range of innovative and cross-cultural styles of music.
